Membership

Anyone who lives or works in Norfolk can apply to join if they are over 16 years of age. Members may join at 16 years of age but cannot take out loans until aged 18 years.

To comply with the Financial Services Authority rules on prevention of money laundering we have to see evidence of your identity and address. Identity should contain a photograph, such as a passport or new style driving licence. Evidence of address can be a utility bill, credit card bill, pension book, national health card or bank statement. If you qualify due to working in Norfolk we will need to see evidence of your workplace such as wage slip, ID card or letter from your employer. If you have problems in supplying this information please contact us and we will help you. If an existing member leaves the membership qualifying area of Norfolk they may retain membership, if wished, and continue to save, receive loans and vote at the annual general meeting.

All application for membership must go before the Board of directors for approval. On approval a membership fee of £1 is payable and at least £1 of shares savings must be made for membership to commence.
